Tips for starting your fitness journey are essential to ensure you set yourself up for success from the very beginning. Starting a new fitness routine can feel overwhelming, but we’re here to help you every step of the way. Whether you’re new to exercise or just getting back into it, these ten essential tips will help you get off on the right foot with your fitness journey:

  1. Setting Realistic Goals

Setting realistic goals is the first step in your fitness journey. It’s important to define what you want to achieve. Do you want to lose weight, build muscle, or simply feel healthier? Whatever your goal, make sure it’s specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART). For example, instead of saying “I want to get fit,” you could set a goal like “I want to lose five kilos in three months.”

  1. Creating a Workout Plan

Creating a workout plan helps keep you organised and focused. Start by choosing activities you enjoy. Whether it’s yoga, running, or weightlifting, find what makes you excited to move. At FNM, we offer a variety of classes and equipment to suit every preference. Aim to exercise at least three times a week, gradually increasing the intensity and duration of your workouts. Remember to mix things up to keep your routine interesting and challenging.
